Ceiling Fan Chain Broke Off Inside

Ceiling fan chain broke off inside. When no pull chain is visible this likely means that the pull within the ceiling fan has broken near or inside the ceiling fan pull switch. A broken pull chain on a ceiling fan almost always requires replacement of the on off switch as a repair. I still have pull chains to turn on and off the light and a chain to reverse the direction. The fan is now on at max whenever the unit is turned on.
Make sure you turn the power source off before taking apart the ceiling fan to be safe.
